European Roulette Table

The European roulette table, whether playing in a live casino or online, is where all the action takes place. It houses the all-important wheel that is used to determine results, the layout where bets can be placed, and on many European roulette tables there is also the racetrack which is a representation of where the numbers are physically positioned on the wheel. This simple format has changed very little over time due to its effectiveness and ease of use for both player and casino alike.

European Roulette Layout

The European roulette layout consists of 37 numbers (0-36), where you are able to place straight up bets, split bets, corner bets, street bets, six line bets and trio bets. These types of bets are otherwise referred to as ‘inside bets’. Around the outside of these numbers, boxes are positioned where you are able to place your bets on the winning number being high, low, odd, even, back, red as well as column and dozen bets representing different sections of the layout. These are commonly referred to as ‘outside bets’.
