European roulette rules are the foundation of how all roulette types are played today. Its origins are almost three centuries old and cover a wide range of bets in which the rewards are reflected by the risk taken.

There are primarily two main types of bet which are governed by European roulette rules, namely ‘inside bets’ and ‘outside bets’.

With inside bets face the player with greater risk, but with greater risk comes greater reward, and this is where you’ll find most of the action taking place. Outside bets on the other hand give the player greater coverage of numbers, which in turn lessens the risk and this is reflected in the lower odds offered.
